After getting confirmation from Devin that it could work, I would like to try to get an Apocalypse game going on Saturday the 13th. I've already got a couple of people interested, so it promises to be an epic game regardless of who shows up.

Unless a ton of people want in or Devin says it's ok to come earlier, I think it's best if we plan on starting at 7:00 as we have been. If we can start turns by 7:30, we should have lots of time for Apocalyptic awesomeness.

Also, I have both Apocalypse books and the Apocalyptic Templates, so those won't be a problem.

Let the games begin!

I will prolly stop by, but sadly I would not have time for an apocalypse battle. I guess your Necrons are safe this time Cory

You can start as early as 5pm if you want. The table might look a little funky since they are two different lengths but you will get a 6x8 playing surface for the game.

I should be there with a mixed bag CSM and Daemons army, probably in the 4500 to 5000 point range. Unfortunately it won't all be painted, but it is assembled, and no proxies.

I will tenatively say I'll be there with some Eldar.
If my current project gets nearer completion during the week I may have about 2500+ points.

Awesome, this is working out better than I'd hoped Very Happy

Compiled list of people who are coming (Sides are tentative):

Evil Side:

Me (Necrons, 3k points)
Frustrashun (CSM/Daemons, 4.5-5k)
Jafaican (CSM, 2k)

Max points available: ~10k

Good Side:

Two of my friends, not on forums (4-5k combined)
HurricaneGirl (Eldar, 2.5k)

If we want to use more points, someone on the good side can also use my 2k of Imperial Guard, bringing their max points available up to ~9k

Of course, with 6x8 to play on, a 9k battle might be a bit much model-wise.

What do you guys think? Should we shoot for 7k points per side? More? Less?

Devin was saying last saturday that we may possibly have an 8x8 table to play on, dependent on whether or not he was able to acquire another 4x8 this week.

We can always have a LONG table (14 x 4) or turn one of them sideways to make a 'T' shape. Apoc battles are nicely adaptable that way. Smile

A 14x4 sounds a bit iffy to me , but I think a t-shaped table would be an interesting set-up.

As far as the second 8x4 table goes, the real issue is getting it here sometime before the game. An added benefit to getting this table is that it frees up the 4x6 to play a normal game. If someone wanted to use it.

Oh and I can throw in some Tau or SM if the sides need balancing.

Update; I have 3745 points I can bring if I break my 'no unpainted figures' rule. I have a squad of banshees unpaited, but I need them for the Formation I want to bring. Everything else should at least be partially panted.

Cool stuff Cami. Unfortunately, one of the marine players (Thomas, the ROTC guy) just let me know that he got a bit sick today, so he's not going to be able to make it. That cuts out around 3k of marines from the original estimate...so I'll bring my Imperial Guard along with the 'Crons. That way, if we have too few "good guy" players, I can switch over as needed, or someone else can take a few Imperial Guard allies if they feel like it.

For some reason I thought I posted that I wanted to start by 5 if possible, but since I didn't...

We'll try to start by 7:00. I may drop by earlier to help get things set up.
